Set up the Tekst SidePanel as an Outlook app

This guide walks you through installing the Tekst SidePanel as an Outlook app (add-in), so your team can work with Tekst directly from Microsoft Outlook. If you prefer to work in the browser, you can also use the Tekst SidePanel as a browser extension - see the "Set up the Tekst SidePanel as a browser extension" article.

Prerequisites

• An active Tekst account.
• Microsoft Outlook (desktop or web version).

Installation steps

1. Open Microsoft Outlook and navigate to the Add-ins section.
2. Search for "Tekst" in the add-in store.
3. Click "Add" to install the app.
4. Open an email, open the Tekst panel from the ribbon, and sign in with your Tekst credentials when prompted.

Once installed, the Tekst SidePanel appears when viewing emails that are processed by Tekst. From there you can review Approval Forms and view case information - see the "Use the Approval Form in the Tekst SidePanel" and "View case information in the Tekst SidePanel" articles.
