Use the Approval Form in the Sidepanel – Tekst

When an automation includes an Approval Form, it pauses until someone on your team reviews the prepared content and approves or rejects it. The Sidepanel is where that review happens: the form appears next to the conversation it belongs to, whether you use the Sidepanel as an Outlook app or as a browser extension.

Where the Approval Form appears

Open the conversation in your inbox and open the Sidepanel. If an automation is waiting for approval on this conversation, the Approval Form is shown in the panel under the actions for this conversation.

The Sidepanel always shows approvals for the conversation you currently have open. If a colleague opens the same conversation, they see the same pending approval.

Reviewing the content

The Approval Form shows the content the automation prepared, using the label and description your administrator configured. Depending on the setup this can be, for example, a text value, extracted data, or a CSV file.

Editing before approving

If the variable is editable, such as a CSV file, you can correct it before approving. Open the file, make your changes, and the automation continues with the corrected version after you approve. CSV files can also be downloaded from the panel.

Approving or rejecting

Approve lets the automation continue along its approved path with the (possibly edited) content.
Reject stops that path and lets the automation continue along its rejected path, if one is configured.

Once submitted, the decision is final for that run: the automation continues immediately and the form disappears from the Sidepanel.

No approval showing?

If you expect an approval but the panel shows that the automation is still running, the run has not reached the Approval Form yet - the panel updates automatically the moment it does.
