The Microsoft Graph permissions Tekst needs are available by default, but some organizations restrict them. When that happens, an administrator has to grant the permissions on the Tekst application in Azure before a personal Outlook account can connect. This guide shows how.
For the list of permissions and what each one does, see Microsoft Graph permissions Tekst requests.
Step 1: Open the Tekst application in Azure
- In your organization's Azure portal, go to Azure Active Directory.
- Open Enterprise applications and search for Outlook x Tekst.
Step 2: Add the API permissions
- Open API permissions on the application and choose Add a permission.
- Select Microsoft Graph, then choose Delegated permissions.
- Add the following permissions:
| Always | For shared mailboxes |
|---|---|
| user.read | mail.readwrite.shared |
| mailboxsettings.read | mail.send.shared |
| mail.readwrite | |
| mail.send |
Step 3: Grant consent
After adding the permissions, grant admin consent for your organization so users can connect without being blocked.
Once the permissions are in place, the user can return to Tekst and connect their account. See Connect a personal Outlook account.
