When your inboxes carry a lot of traffic, the message feed gives you search and filters to narrow it down to exactly the conversations you want. This article explains both. For the overall layout, see the "What is the message feed?" article.
Search
The search field at the top of the feed lets you find conversations quickly. For more precise lookups, open Advanced search, where you can search by:
- Conversation ID
- Message ID
- From (sender address)
- To (recipient address)
Enter what you know and select Search; use Clear to reset the fields. Advanced search is the fastest way to locate one specific conversation when you have an identifier or an address.
If your inboxes are very large, search may be limited to a number of inboxes at a time. Select fewer inboxes to refine the results when you see that notice.
Filters
Filters narrow the feed to a slice of your conversations. They work together, so you can combine several at once. The available filters are:
- Inbox - limit the feed to specific inboxes. You can choose individual integrations or groups; the default is all integrations.
- Time frame - choose a preset period or set a Custom range with the date picker.
- Model & tag - show only conversations your models labeled with particular tags.
- Metric - filter by conversation shape, including the number of participants, the number of messages, and First Response Time.
- Pending human approval - show only conversations waiting on an approval step from an automation.
Combining search and filters
Filters become inactive while a search query is running, because search looks across your conversations directly. Clear the search to go back to filtering. When you are filtering, layering several filters together lets you focus on a precise set - for example one inbox, over the last week, labeled with a specific topic.
Refreshing the feed
Use the refresh control to pull in the latest conversations. The feed updates in real time as new messages arrive, but refreshing ensures you are seeing the most current view.
When nothing matches
If your search or filters return nothing, the feed shows a "No results found" or "No conversations match your filters" message with an option to clear the search or filter. Broaden your criteria to see more conversations.
