What is the message feed? – Tekst

The message feed is where you read and work with the conversations flowing into Tekst. It is a real-time view of your inboxes that shows each conversation alongside everything Tekst has learned about it - the topics it predicted, the information it extracted, and the automations it ran. This article explains the layout and how the feed fits with the rest of the platform.

Where to find it

Open the Messages section from the main navigation. You need at least one connected inbox integration to see conversations; if none are connected, the page prompts you to browse integrations first.

The three panes

The message feed is laid out in three panes:

The feed (left) - a scrolling list of conversation cards, grouped by date. Each card summarizes one conversation.
The reading pane (center) - the full conversation you have selected, including every message in the thread.
The details pane (right) - tabs showing what Tekst knows about the selected conversation: its tags, extracted entities, automations, and internal notes.

Reading a conversation card

Each card in the feed gives you an at-a-glance summary:

From and To lines, the subject, and a short preview of the latest message.
A message count showing how many messages are in the thread.
Tag badges showing the topics or categories your models predicted.
Quick chips for how many attachments, entities, automations, and notes the conversation has. Selecting a chip jumps straight to the relevant tab in the details pane.

How it connects to the rest of Tekst

The message feed brings several parts of the platform together on a single conversation:

Models label each conversation with predicted tags and pull out structured entities. To learn how models work, see What are models on Tekst?.
Automations run on your inboxes, and their actions appear against the conversation.
Analytics counts and trends are built from the same conversations you read here.
