When automations run on your inboxes, the message feed shows what they did to each conversation on the Automations tab of the details pane. This is where you see which flows ran, what actions they took, and whether anything is waiting for a person to approve it. This article explains how to use it.
To learn how automations are built, see What are automations?.
Open the Automations tab
Select a conversation, then open the Automations tab in the details pane. The tab header shows a count, and you can also reach it by selecting the automations chip on the conversation card.
What you see
The tab lists the automation activity for the conversation:
- The flows that ran on the inbox and the actions they performed on this conversation.
- Approval steps, where an automation paused to wait for a person to review and confirm an action before it continues.
If no automations are configured for the inbox, the tab shows a "No automated workflows configured" message. A conversation can also have flows that ran without taking any action, which is noted here too.
Handling approvals
Some automations include a human approval step, so a person can confirm an action before it happens. Conversations waiting on approval are easy to find: use the Pending human approval filter in the feed to show only those, and resolve them from the conversation.
To learn how approval steps are set up, see Add a human approval automation step.
